Welcome to my personal project portfolio! This space is a curated collection of my work, showcasing the projects that I have been a part of during my time at James Madison University.
JMU's COB 300 is the first set of classes business students take in their Junior year before they embark towards their major. The course combines finance, management, marketing, and operations and is taught by a four-member faculty team. JMU COB 300 is designed to deliver key business disciplines in an integrative format that illustrates a “real life” experiential learning environment for students working in a team structure. Each team must create an idea for a product or service to be approved for the project. Teams then create a full business plan around the product/service to pitch to investors. The plan covered the first five years of the business, with each each of the four courses being involved. Here is my group's business plan.
In my spring semester of my junior year I took a course MKTG 384: Integrated Marketing Communications. For this class, my team and I were tasked with creating an integrated marketing communications plan for a local non-profit organization called Rockingham Educational Foundation Inc. REFI strives to improve the public education experience for the students of Rockingham County, VA. After our presentation to board of director members, my group was awarded as the second best presentation in our class section.
I took a class over the summer of 2024 that revolved around the internship I had. My internship was with Financial Growth Partners in Virginia Beach, VA. The internship was a good opportunity to grow my skills in sales, CRM, and communication. I was also able to expand my knowledge about the financial services industry. For my class, I had to submit a final report about various aspects about my job, company, and industry. I researched to find data, and had great conversations with mangers and directing partners regarding the company and industry.
